Take a pic of your desktop with the print screen button, paste it into photoshop, and post it here!

A person's desktop can tell a lot about them :D.

How do you like Win7? How far along is it (I've not been following software much lately for some reason)?

Here's mine...WinXP but skinned w/ WindowBlinds. I keep my start menu/task bar on the left vertical.

I really like it...some of the new features are just awesome. Alot of drivers/programs for your hardware/devices ie. headphones, speakers, vid cards, and many other things are found automatically on startup...very nice

I have not had any problems installing my photoshop, games, firefox, old programs from vist 32 or 64 bit...

It's in th RC(release Client) as of now, and I am running the 64 bit ultimate edition.

give her 2 thumbs up from the standard computer user:beer:

You should like that background - you made it!

+1 I would like to do that with my xp as well.

WindowBlinds is as safe as I can imagine - I've been using it since version 3 or so. The latest version works pretty well, and the skins that are out that match up with it allow for you to make a lot of stuff transparent. While it doesn't offer all the "bells and whistles" of Vista (that I'm not entirely convinced make it worth having), it does at least offer some eye candy that you can vary as you like. And it is also compatible with Vista as well. I have not made any skins myself - just find others I like...and I like the simple ones best.

 Does your wife look like that? Maybe we should get a pic of the new shirt :D.

I skipped Vista on my work machine. My wife's laptop and the kid's computer have Vista, but I never really "play" on those to see what's there. AFAIK, tho, it wasn't something that Vista had in it. But so far, I'm running W7 on a 3-yr-old laptop (was a screamer when it came out) with 2GB RAM and really don't notice any slow downs. So that's good. Only thing I did was put in a new 320GB 7200RPM hard drive vs the original 80GB 7200RPM drive.
