That's cause we don't pay you to take pictures. Hell, we don't pay you at all! Get back to work! :guns: :D

I love photography, but mine is a lot of off-road photography. My father has built a rock crawler and we travel all over the country going to ohv parks. I like to take my camera and take a lot of videos and stuff. My problem is I need a better camera. Right now I have my pick between a Nikon Coolpix L18 8MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom and a Kodak Easyshare DX7590 5MP Digital Camera with 10x Optical Zoom. The Nikon has a better mp, but the kodak has manual settings and a better zoom. So I usually just take both. Anyways I'm no pro at it, do you guys have any tips just on using the suns angle to make good pics, and/or any just general tips.

best pics for off roading will be with the sun to your back, but watch for reflections, examples:

look how much better this one looks...

than this one of a different truck on the same hill:

be careful and aware of trucks or cars with chrome bumpers or you might as well be just waving at yourself in the reflection (you can see me in around the p/s fog light with the orange shirt on):

try to find a happy medium when shooting in spotty shade like this picture, some areas are going to have to be blown out but accept it and try to get the right angle to make them not as bad:

also watch out for sun spot highlights on fenders and windshields...

also, biggie here: NEVER plan a black car photoshoot mid dayhttp://www.mygtr.com/forum/images/smilies/emo.gif nothing good will come from that
